As an undergraduate in Biology, I became fascinated with the science of living things and decided to study medicine to further my curiosity.  What a fortunate decision !

Medicine challenged me to understand the individual and complex workings of human health and disease conditions and more importantly offered me a lifetime opportunity to actually improve the lives of countless thousands of people.

Choosing Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, allowed me to see patients of all ages and a wider range of challenging medical problems - which were important to the welfare of both the patient and their family, and therefore could benefit many lives.

A lifetime of post-graduate Ear, Nose & Throat specialty teaching including Stanford University, St. Louis University, and currently University of California-Irvine, has given me an opportunity to pass on not only the technical skills learned during a dedicated commitment to personal excellence in Head & Neck Medicine and Surgery, but also exposing young doctors to my own personal philosophy that all patients are deserving of the unique benefits of a "personalized healthcare" approach to medicine.

Volunteering to train the future's medical professionals, helping to provide direct medical care in clinics to those often less fortunate, mentoring young physicians to become more humanistic specialists, encouraging improvements delivery of healthcare systems etc. are ways of giving back to society for my own good fortune.

Our medical practice continues to expand and see diverse peoples from many parts of the world, for many different cultures and backgrounds etc. seeking exposure to obtain the latest in this country's most advanced and technologically sophisticated medical diagnosis and treatment but in an individualized and personal humanistic approach.

Life is a Balance, greatly enriched by my wife of ~40 years, 2 great boys who both were selected as Water Polo Student-Athletes - by USC and Berkeley no less, and who both proceeded to obtain additional postgraduate degrees in law and business, got married and now have darling young children of their own to nourish and love.

To expand my horizons, I have maintained and continue to explore many new & diverse outside interests including, antique automobiles, Japanese art and aesthetics, personal travel exploring endless diverse cultures....and lately trying to grow tomatoes and hot peppers in my backyard!
